Photography at Malak Marketplace
The photographs that capture so beautifully the spirit of Malak Marketplace are taken by a team of volunteer photographers, who visit the market regularly and provide photographs to the management and marketing team for their use on the website, Facebook page, newsletter, banners, posters, flyers and in other promotional activity.
Many thanks to Sebastian Kappen in particular for helping to promote the marketplace through his exceptionally high-quality photography work and creative eye. Sebastian’s photographs are works of art in themselves creating unforgettable images for an extraordinary community market which is rich in talent and passion. It is Sebastian’s photograph of Malak Marketplace that adorns the wall of Darwin city’s Tourist Information Centre and his photographs are featured in our distinctive and highly-regarded banners and flyers.
Sebastian can be easily spotted at the market as he wears a very distinctive, slightly floppy broad-rimmed hat and a huge camera around his neck! He specialises in taking beautiful, natural photographs of children and families. He posts many photographs on his Facebook Page, Sebastian’s Photos with the permission of Malak Marketplace management. Hi-resolution photographs of these images may be purchased through arrangement with Sebastian. He also accepts commissions for wedding, children/family and event photography.
