Malak Marketplace was founded by Lina Paselli, Sachi Hirayama and May Aggabao in 2015 as a Darwin Community Arts project. Their shared vision is to make Malak Marketplace a successful, unique, artistic and family-friendly place for all the community to enjoy.

Lina Paselli

Lina Paselli brings her over 20 years’ experience in project management and working in multicultural environments, her passion for arts and crafts and a strong advocate for healthy organic and locally produced fresh food to the market.

May Aggabao

May Aggabao has more than 20 years of experience working in a corporate, non-government organisation and more recently in local government. She is a business owner – passionate in sharing her entrepreneurial knowledge and skills. She loves to engage in any volunteer work within the local community. 

Sachi Hirayama

Sachi Hirayama has experience holding many different events in Darwin’s local community especially as a past President of the Australian Japanese Association of the Northern Territory (AJANT) and Board Member of Darwin Community Arts (DCA). She is passionate about the arts and wants to support local emerging artists by bringing them to Malak Marketplace.
