Local Arts and Crafts Get A Boost at Malak Marketplace
23 March 2017
Darwin Community Arts (DCA) is keen to support local artists and crafters who wish to sell locally made pieces, either handmade by the stallholder or by someone else (local). To make it easy for arts and crafts stallholders to become part of the market, the registration process has been much easier to complete and a stall pitch in the beautiful Breezeway, home to eclectic pieces of art, crafts, pre-loved treasures, vintage and antique pieces is just $5 per market night. Stallholders do have to bring their own lighting to get a pitch at this price, but creativity with lighting – possibly solar lighting – is a challenge we’re sure local artists can take on.
If you know of any art and craft talents who may like to show off and of course sell their pieces, let them know about Malak Marketplace – it’s a friendly market with a lively bustle, but it’s not overwhelming especially for first-time stallholders.
